GLO- Loan Specialist II
The Texas General Land Office is seeking a Loan Specialist II for the Veterans Land Board. The role involves setting up, processing, servicing, and monitoring mortgage loans while providing guidance to others under general supervision.

Responsibilities
Originate new loans. Process 92%-97% of all newly assigned loan application (VHIP, forfeited and land loan applications) within 48-72 hours of receipt to comply with RESPA. This process consists of entering information into the database, checking for multiple use and mailing disclosures
Provides updates to all assigned borrowers regarding loan processes and procedures. Performs 92%-97% of new loan file reviews within three business days of receipt to comply with RESPA
Monitors receipt of loan documents. Must move 30%-40% of all completed assigned applications to the Loan Processor within 48-72 hours of completed application
Conducts reviews and audits of all loan processing documents within 48 hours of receipt to determine compliance with program requirements, contracts, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Must ensure that all loan documents are accurate and properly executed
Maintains and updates all loan files and current borrower information within the loan origination system
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, business administration, real estate, or a related field is generally preferred
Two years of experience in finance, banking, or real estate work
Two to three years of recent mortgage loan processing experience
Education and experience may be substituted for one another
Preferred
Experience in mortgage loans by setting up, processing, servicing and monitoring loans
