BL Companies Inc is expanding and seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and execution of MEP projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards while contributing to high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of flow diagrams for mechanical systems
Perform heat load and static pressure calculations
Support in sizing equipment and ductwork to meet project specifications
Assist in designing basic one-line risers
Support in specifying fire alarm devices
Contribute to lighting and control plans, ensuring compliance with design standards
Help determine power and feeder requirements for mechanical systems
Assist in selecting fixtures and components
Contribute to pipe sizing and routing for sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic systems
Ensure systems have proper venting and service sizing
Support in designing risers and planning sprinkler head locations for projects

Qualification

Required

4-7 years of experience in MEP engineering
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
Strong technical skills and willingness to develop project management abilities
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of federal and state codes governing MEP design
