2+ years expWelcome Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Hyatt Place, located in the heart of the South Bay. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong community engagement, and sustainable profitability.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage (F&B) to ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards
Drive hotel profitability through strategic revenue management, annual budgeting, and rigorous cost control
Proactively manage HySat to maintain best-in-market guest satisfaction scores
Promote a culture of accountability, motivation, and empowerment across all departments
Collaborate with the Campus Director of Sales & Marketing to drive occupancy and build local business partnerships
Drive performance in RevPAR index, ADR, and GOP margin through strategic planning and operational excellence
Identify creative promotional opportunities, leverage technology, and activate local partnerships
Actively participate in local hotel associations and community affairs to maintain a positive brand reputation in El Segundo
Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team, focusing on 'Hyatt Ways of Working' to cultivate a positive colleague experience
Assist and approve department manager scheduling based on forecasted occupancy to ensure the hotel is adequately staffed while controlling labor costs
Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years' experience as AGM or Director of Rooms with proven track record of improving RevPAR Index
Proven record of accomplishment in financial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams
Demonstrated success in competitive urban markets, preferably Los Angeles or similar
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for leveraging technology, data, and creative promotion
Ability to balance brand compliance with innovative, localized strategies
Strong community presence and ability to serve as an ambassador for the property
Preferred
Proficiency in the Hyatt system is highly advantageous
