APR Consulting is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for their DoD/Aerospace client in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will support various engineering activities including design, testing, modification, and assembly of electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities

Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain components, devices, and systems
Perform calibration and alignment checks
Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions
Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment based on drawings and instructions
Implement basic practical solutions to support process improvements
Conduct and document laboratory experiments under the guidance of senior staff
Build basic tooling and fixtures to support unique assignments
Organize data to identify cause/effect trends and recommend improvements

Required

Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Fundamental knowledge of relevant tools and equipment
Ability to fabricate basic hardware
Clear computer and test-equipment proficiency
Department of Defense active Secret security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred

1st Class FCC License
Solder Repair Certification
