Responsibilities

Develop and lead the sales strategy for regional and specialty retail channels, aligning with overall business objectives
Partner with cross-functional teams to build and execute tailored go-to-market plans, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives
Collaborate closely with other sales teams to ensure alignment, execution excellence, and responsiveness to channel-specific needs
Build strong relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders to drive performance and long-term growth
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize investments
Represent the voice of the channel internally, advocating for the needs and opportunities of these retailers in planning and execution

Required

8+ years of experience in sales, channel strategy, or account management, preferably within CPG or pet-related industries
Proven success leading sales initiatives across multi-format retail environments
Strong understanding of the operational and commercial dynamics of regional and specialty retail channels
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strategic mindset with a strong bias for execution and results
Demonstrated success in managing P&Ls, building channel strategies, and delivering revenue and profit growth
Category, market, and channel experience with a track record of applying insights to win in a competitive landscape
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external retail partners
Ability to travel up to 40% overnight as required
