The Senior Software Engineer will support the development of an open-source software platform focused on ingesting and analyzing security-related data and logs, contributing to both technical design and implementation efforts.

Responsibilities
Develop and enhance features within an open‑source platform to support security data/log ingestion and analysis
Perform full‑stack development activities as needed, with potential specialization in backend or frontend technologies
Own technical tasks and deliver high‑quality work within expected timelines
Participate in the design and implementation of complex and challenging components
Conduct code reviews and perform thorough component‑level testing
Work with internal stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements
Provide technical leadership and contribute to architectural decisions when needed
Present and explain technical solutions to internal and external audiences
Prepare clear and maintainable documentation for development activities and codebases
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field preferred
3+ years of relevant software development experience, including design, coding, testing, and support
Hands-on experience with training, fine‑tuning, and/or leveraging AI/ML models
Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), with additional experience in JavaScript, C/C++, Java, or C# considered a plus
Solid understanding of web applications, REST APIs, microservices, and containerized architectures
Experience designing systems for efficient streaming or near real‑time data ingestion from multiple sources
Familiarity with pub/sub technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ)
Exposure to workflow languages and engines (e.g., Nextflow) is beneficial
Strong understanding of container-based deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or OpenStack), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
