Responsibilities
Coordinate with management, other engineers and shop technicians to develop design requirements and incorporate design changes
Adhere to company standards for configuration control, file management and change control
Exercise initiative, continuous improvement and attention to detail to improve design and drawing quality, completeness and accuracy
Apply engineering and fabrication standards such as dimensioning, tolerancing, materials, finishes, GD&T, sheet metal forming, machining, composites, and standard aircraft hardware
Maintain a positive attitude in a fast paced, changing environment
Work independently with limited oversight but ask questions when necessary
Participate in design reviews. Prepare engineering reports and presentations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or five (5) years of relevant aviation design work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience in structural and mechanical design with ideally an understanding of King Air 300 integrations and experience with ISR/EW and other special mission equipment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and discipline, with strong attention to detail
Emotional intelligence and the ability to challenge own thinking and adjust to others
SolidWorks CAD, Microsoft Office Suite
