Responsibilities
Lead electrical design efforts for commercial, institutional, healthcare, biotech, higher education, and mixed-use building projects
Develop electrical system designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and project coordination sessions
Collaborate closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Oversee and mentor designers and drafters as appropriate to level
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
Support quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project delivery
Monitor scope, schedule, and budget alignment in coordination with project leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
10+ years experience designing electrical systems for building projects
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients
Preferred
Professional Engineer license preferred but not required
