Responsibilities
Launch Alpha's flagship Houston campus: Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100 plus students from the start, ensuring operational excellence in every area
Facilitate live workshops for K through 12 students on life skills: Conduct compelling one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Apply Alpha's structured playbook to help students gain competencies traditional schools overlook while keeping it engaging
Drive every student to 100 percent goal achievement: Develop customized motivational frameworks for individual students. Apply data-informed strategies to address obstacles and sustain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is defined by every student reaching their goals
Develop Guides through coaching: Leverage quantitative and qualitative metrics to pinpoint performance deficiencies. Provide direct, actionable guidance during coaching meetings and monitor progress. Maintain team accountability using logic and objectivity, not empathy that weakens standards
Lead campus operations with data-driven decisions: Evaluate performance across staff effectiveness, operational efficiency, parent engagement, and campus culture. Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, engage stakeholders, and execute measurable interventions. Monitor outcomes of every decision and iterate accordingly
Uphold excellence without exception: Establish and preserve Alpha's performance standards for both students and staff. Make difficult decisions when performance doesn't meet expectations. Exemplify the standard of excellence across your campus
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field
Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority
Deep knowledge of the Houston or wider Texas education landscape
Experience working with youth ages 5 through 14
Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
Passion for transforming education
Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch
Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff
Able to relate to K through 12 students, understand their interests and culture, serve as a positive role model
Legally authorized to work in the United States
