Account Executive
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and acquire new dispensary and retail partners to expand Rove’s footprint across New York
Develop and execute strategies to increase market share throughout the NYC Metro region
Generate leads, schedule and conduct meetings, and close deals with prospective retail partners
Work closely with the account management team to ensure successful onboarding of new accounts
Build strong relationships with dispensary owners and decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships
Step in to support marketing initiatives, in-store events, or logistics where needed
Understand retail partner challenges and offer tailored solutions through Rove’s product offerings
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Monitor local competition, track market trends, and identify emerging opportunities in New York's cannabis space
Represent Rove at local trade shows, vendor days, and cannabis-related events throughout New York
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, logistics, operations) to ensure account success
Log all sales activities, leads, and communications in the company’s CRM system
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in cannabis or regulated CPG industries
Strong understanding of the New York cannabis market and its regulatory environment
Existing relationships within New York dispensaries is a major plus
Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-driven
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with extensive travel within the assigned territory (100+ mile radius)
Proficient with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and reporting tools
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
