Travel Industry Sales Manager

Hotel Bennett is a luxury hotel seeking a Travel Industry Sales Manager who will drive transient market sales through strategic account management and relationship building. The role involves managing luxury consortia accounts and high-end travel agencies while executing sales strategies to maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

Lead the Travel Industry Sales function, ensuring production goals and client expectations are met
Manage relationships with luxury travel consortia such as Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network, American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Ensemble, Altour, AAA, and Travel Leaders
Develop and execute sales plans focused on revenue growth and market expansion
Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and travel patterns to identify opportunities
Collaborate with the revenue management team to create targeted promotions and packages
Represent Hotel Bennett at industry trade shows, sales missions, and regional account activation events
Organize and lead familiarization (FAM) trips and client events to promote the hotel
Provide proactive leadership to drive maximum revenue potential
Contribute to weekly revenue strategy meetings with the executive team
Develop initiatives to capture new business and shift share from competitors
Enhance the hotel’s presence in national and international travel programs
Oversee daily sales activities and key account management
Conduct sales calls and presentations to secure new business
Work with marketing and Global Sales team to create targeted campaigns for the travel industry segment
Selectively sell corporate transient and travel industry business to optimize room revenue and F&B sales
Utilize sales systems to analyze performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals
Provide data-driven insights for financial projections and sales forecasts
Review sales and guest satisfaction metrics to drive continuous improvement
Foster strong relationships with clients and industry partners to ensure long-term business success
Provide an exceptional client experience by understanding their needs and exceeding expectations
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
Represent Hotel Bennett at key industry events to build and maintain relationships with high-end travel professionals
Incorporates guest satisfaction as a component of department meetings with a focus on continuous improvement
Demonstrates commitment to Salamander Collection operating principles and philosophies
Serves the clients by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field

Proven track record of managing travel industry accounts and driving revenue growth
Strong industry connections within consortia, luxury travel agencies, and corporate travel sectors
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to travel for sales calls, tradeshows, and industry events
