Responsibilities
Develop and prepare layouts and architectural drawings based on client requirements
Coordinate draftsperson deliverables in alignment with project specifications
Use AutoCAD and related tools to create layouts and diagrams with detailed accuracy
Consult technical handbooks, guidelines, and conduct landlord research as needed
Interpret and apply state and local building codes
Prepare documentation for project authorization and manage bidding‑related processes
Maintain organized digital and physical project files
Conduct site surveys as required
Collaborate with clients to clarify project needs and architectural requirements
Ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and organizational standards
Provide architectural support to the Project Manager across multiple projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
2–5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Job Captain within an architectural firm
Ability to interpret construction data, engineering calculations, and drawings
Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong 3D design capabilities; working knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop, or Illustrator
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong multitasking abilities and high attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without employer sponsorship
Preferred
Experience drafting retail or commercial construction documents preferred
