Material Handler Supervisor (1st Shift, Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities
Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures for self and staff
Monitor assigned work while reviewing completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work scope and company expectations
Utilize computer software programs and applications in assigning, verifying, tracking, and monitoring metrics and job assignments
Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired results
Manage personnel work hours, scheduled time off, shift schedules, and overtime
Participate in functions, such as performance reviews, employee development, accountability of team members, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action with the department manager
Monitor and direct the tracking of parts (turbine engine components) through the repair processes, staging of parts in departments, organizing part storage areas, monitoring completion time to increase throughput
Oversee and assist production, engineering, and production control personnel to maintain continuity in scheduling by reviewing inventory, anticipated work scope and needed location of components in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
Monitor and ensure the electronic tracking system for part identification and location, (RFID tracking technology), is effective
Ensure the timely development of priority lists for each department based on quantity of parts in the department staging area
Qualification
Required
Three years' warehouse type experience with tracking and traceability of parts knowledge, or similar work experience. Supervisory experience a plus
Demonstrated ability or experience in being able to effectively communicate with team members
Ability or experience following directions and reading work instructions
Experience in the use of skids, pallet jacks and forklifts/lift trucks
High school or technical school graduate or equivalent
Careful attention to detail
Capable of handling multiple tasks
Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
