Responsibilities
Participates as a member of development team
Completes development of units and also conducts reviews designs prepared by junior development teams
Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes unit tests
Will perform unit design
Resource should have EDI X12 file format experience
Applies Gainwell and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity
Follows the defined systems development life cycle processes and local procedures
Mentors junior members to help guide them in the identified solution
Work across functions to ensure success
Identify issues and opportunities with overall project technical lead
Qualification
Required
.NET+WCF Development is a required skill set
Minimum EDI X12 experience, NCPDP is preferred but understand that finding resources specific to NCPDP may be a challenge
Strong knowledge in healthcare Pharmacy Benefit Manager
Experiences in coding exp is a must, Webservices – API`s
Java, Oracle RDBMS
Bachelor's degree or higher plus a minimum of 3 years experience, or a minimum of 5 years experience
Four to Six years of programming experience writing code in various languages
Intermediate Understanding of RDBMS database, Oracle
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work with and support remote workers
Able to communicate design and function internally and with external clients
Strong documentation skills in design and execution
Experience working with clients doing detailed design work and coming up with proposed solutions
Experience in mentoring and guiding work of more junior developers
Self-motivated problem solver who actively participates in solution development
Follows the defined systems development life cycle processes and local procedures
Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies
Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies
Understanding of basic Database Administration
Understanding of quality and security standards
Preferred
PBM Developer with EDI X12 + NCPDP in as preferred
Experience with API's or web services is a plus
