Responsibilities
Manage a book of business consisting of the agency’s “key” clients, providing outstanding client service
Oversee renewals, coverage reviews, endorsements, and policy changes
Identify risks and opportunities for improved coverage or cross-sell solutions
Resolve client escalations promptly and professionally
Supervise and mentor commercial lines account managers and support staff
Provide coaching, training, and structured feedback to develop talent
Assist in hiring and onboarding
Establish workflows and service expectations for the team
Streamline and document commercial lines procedures
Drive retention and service excellence initiatives
Collaborate with producers to support new business and account transitions
Help shape departmental goals and metrics
Maintain strong underwriting relationships
Support complex submissions
Keep current on carrier products, appetite, and industry trends
Act as a technical resource for agency staff
Qualification
Required
7+ years of commercial insurance experience in an agency environment
Good working knowledge of key commercial lines (GL, Property, Auto, WC, Umbrella, Cyber, D&O, etc.)
Experience supervising, mentoring, and training staff
Active Property & Casualty license
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment
Preferred
Experience with AMS360 a plus
