Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer
The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join their 787 Mechanical Systems Design Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves supporting the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and environmental control system components for the 787 Program, along with various engineering design responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining mechanical systems detail, product detail, assembly, and installation designs (e.g., composite ducting, hydraulic tubing, transport element routing and geometry)
Assisting with engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests)
Follow documented processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of mechanical, fluid, and environmental control system commodities
Collecting data to support the development of statements of work
Reviewing functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture
Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
Supporting the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
Perform spatial integration at system or component level
Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
Works under general supervision
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
2 or more years of professional experience working in an engineering field
2 or more years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
2 or more years of experience working with cross-functional team
Preferred
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience mentoring and developing others
3+ years of experience in aerospace related role
5+ years of experience working in CATIA V5 & ENOVIA toolsets
5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications
5+ years of experience in a mechanical system, hydraulic fluid system, and/or environmental controls systems engineering roles
2+ years of demonstrated project management skills
