OPS Clinical Psychologist
The University of South Florida is dedicated to supporting student success through various services, including mental health support at its Counseling Center. The OPS Clinical Psychologist will provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation to students, ensuring culturally responsive care and maintaining high standards in clinical practice.

Responsibilities
60%: Provides psychotherapy for individuals, groups, and intimate partners, presenting with a range of psychological concerns
25%: Assesses presenting concerns through the Center's intake and assessment process. Provides crisis intervention at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, including involuntary hospitalization, USF community consultation, and post-incident debriefing
15%: Participates in Counseling Center sponsored outreach and consultation programming for the university community. Develops and participates in psychoeducational presentations, as assigned, for all USF students. Establishes a consultative liaison relationship with a strategic campus partner
Qualification
Required
Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in applied health sciences (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy) from an accredited program which includes an accredited internship (or equivalent as determined by the Florida Board of Psychology) in professional psychology
Licensure or license-eligible in the State of Florida
Date by which licensure is expected will be determined as part of the hiring process
Candidates must be proficient with the use of an electronic medical record, and comfortable using technology such as Microsoft Word to complete work-related tasks
An accredited internship (or equivalent as determined by the Florida Board of Psychology) is required
Licensure or license eligibility in the State of Florida is required
Preferred
Experience working with a college student population
Experience providing short-term individual and group psychotherapy, using theoretically grounded approaches and evidenced-based therapies
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Clinical experience with culturally diverse groups including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, international, and differently-abled students, and a desire to grow in providing culturally responsive care
Experience and comfort working with students presenting with high risk difficulties including suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, eating disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, and/or trauma
Experience supervising counselors-in-training
