Technical Reviewer/Editor

They are actively seeking a Technical Reviewer to join their Transportation Technology team in Kentwood, MI, where the role involves reviewing and managing technical reports submitted for certification and maintaining communication with clients and management.

Responsibilities

Reviewing test reports
Review reports for completeness of testing
Review reports for accuracy of information included and calculations
Confirm all necessary paperwork is included
Confirm report content conforms with all relevant internal and external technical standards
Confirm information provided is consistent with internal database and follow through on updates as needed
Communicate with technical and administrative staff
Review and understand technical standards and be able to communicate requirements to both technical and non-technical staff
Verify that current test and review procedures conform with published standards
Communicate inaccuracies or mistakes in documentation appropriately
Maintaining communication with management and internal and external clients

Required

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in related technical field a plus
Prefer prior related experience in a testing laboratory or the automotive industry
Ability to independently plan, organize and complete projects within established standards, objectives and timeframes
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of technical materials
Ability to make technical decisions within established parameters
Must have strong critical thinking abilities and problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Must be an effective communicator, in terms of actively listening, speaking and writing
Must have excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Willingness to adhere to standards, styles, and templates to ensure consistent documentation
Must have excellent computer skills – including Microsoft Office knowledge, including MS Word and MS Excel, MS Access experience a plus
Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
Willingness to learn how to perform hands-on technical work as necessary
