Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy advanced optical test fixtures and stations involving projectors, cameras (e.g. colorimeter), motorized stages, and various optical elements (lenses, diffractive gratings, mirrors, waveguides)
Develop and integrate custom test fixtures and automation solutions for display and optical systems
Bring up, validate, and troubleshoot optical test systems and automation hardware/software
Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and manufacture custom optical test fixtures
Perform optical metrology, characterization, and data analysis to support product development and manufacturing
Manage calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of metrology tooling
Coordinate sample allocation and shipping related to test fixtures and metrology tools
Qualification
Required
Strong background in Opto-Mechanical Engineering with experience designing precision components and assemblies
Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX for part modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings
Solid command of GD&T with the ability to apply and interpret tolerances effectively
Hands-on experience with tolerance analysis and stack-up analysis
Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
Experience creating and maintaining production-ready engineering drawings
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with optical, electrical, and manufacturing teams
Education: BSCSE or related
Preferred
Experience with AR/VR display systems and optical module testing
