Process Engineering Intern
Aircapture is creating and scaling a circular carbon economy to address the climate crisis. The Process Engineering Intern will work alongside engineering teams to develop innovative direct air capture systems and gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with project teams including engineering, supply chain, and project managers
Work hands-on with experienced chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineers--you will get real world experience in our state of the art facility in Berkeley, California
Prepare PFDs and P&IDs for innovative DAC applications
Design, simulate, and engineer novel process systems using Aspen Plus (Familiarity required, but no need for proficiency)
Analyze data from operational plants
Qualification
Required
Completed Junior year or equivalent studying Chemical Engineering or a related field, by Summer 2026
Motivated, curious, and detail-oriented
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Strong drive to seek out your own projects and opportunities within the company
Familiarity with Aspen Plus (Familiarity required, but no need for proficiency)
This position requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment, operating machinery and lifting and carrying loads of 50 lbs or more
Due to the requirements of our federal contracts, we can only hire a U.S. Citizen for this role
