Responsibilities
Design, configure, and support F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM mandatory; GTM/DNS preferred, iRules) in large enterprise environments
Architect, support, and optimize hub-and-spoke network architectures in enterprise, multi-cloud IT environments, ensuring efficient traffic flow, routing, and security enforcement
Support environments where centralized security controls (F5, Palo Alto, or similar firewalls) are deployed in the hub, servicing multiple spoke networks
Implement and maintain network and F5 automation using tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, and REST APIs within hub-and-spoke enterprise models
Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of F5 BIG-IP and associated network/security components in large hub-and-spoke topologies
Support and integrate cloud-native transit constructs, including AWS Transit Gateway and equivalent Azure hub-and-spoke networking constructs, within enterprise environments
Troubleshoot complex network, firewall, and load balancer issues spanning hub-and-spoke architectures in production
Work closely with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure centralized policy enforcement, high availability, and optimal performance
Support hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud such as AWS and Azure) with large-scale enterprise connectivity
Participate in change management, incident response, and root cause analysis for enterprise network platforms
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualification
Required
8+ years of overall network engineering experience in enterprise environments
Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM mandatory; GTM/DNS preferred)
Proven experience with F5 automation in hub-and-spoke enterprise network architectures
Strong experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Terraform)
Solid understanding of enterprise hub-and-spoke network models, including centralized firewall and security designs
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, routing, and switching
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or regulated environments with complex network topologies
Ability to work independently and collaborate across network, security, and cloud teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
Hands-on experience with cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure
Experience with AWS Transit Gateway and Azure hub-and-spoke networking equivalents
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
F5 certifications (101 / 201 / 301) preferred
Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise client environments
