Responsibilities

Execute and evaluate automated protein expression and purification workflows using established liquid-handling systems
Support automation-enabled sample preparation and method execution, including lysis, clarification, and re-array
Assist with programming, running, and troubleshooting automated methods and associated instrumentation
Collect and analyze run data to assess automation performance and identify sources of variability
Document automated methods and findings, and prepare a final technical presentation summarizing performance and recommendations

Required

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
Required Majors: Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific or engineering discipline
Ability to follow written protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately
Basic laboratory skills and comfort working in a wet-lab environment
Data recording, organization, and basic analysis skills (e.g., spreadsheets, plotting, summarizing results)
Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly and consistently
Ability to communicate effectively and work productively in a collaborative team setting

Interest in laboratory automation, protein sciences, or high-throughput laboratory workflows
Hands-on laboratory experience through coursework, research projects, or prior internships, with familiarity in basic biological or biochemical techniques
Exposure to liquid-handling automation, scripting, or programming (e.g., Python) is a plus but not required
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail, documentation, and data interpretation
