Responsibilities
Lead test strategy, planning, and execution for complex products and releases
Drive the evolution of the test automation framework, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA Engineers and junior team members
Champion shift‑left testing practices and CI/CD quality gates across development squads
Collaborate with architecture and engineering leadership to define quality standards and automation best practices
Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test suites (UI, API, backend, data validation)
Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, Playwright, or similar
Develop robust API automation using RestAssured, Postman scripts, or equivalent frameworks
Create effective test data strategies, including synthetic data generation and environment management
Author comprehensive, well‑structured test strategies, plans, and test cases
Lead exploratory testing efforts to uncover complex defects
Coordinate validation of deployments across multiple environments, ensuring end‑to‑end readiness
Perform advanced backend testing across SQL/NoSQL database systems
Work closely with Product Owners to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure testability
Partner with developers, product teams, and DevOps to ensure high‑quality releases
Influence iteration planning, sprint commitments, and quality checkpoints
Coordinate with onshore/offshore QA teams to drive consistent delivery and quality standards
Ensure alignment with HIPAA and other regulatory/security requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and documentation
Lead root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions for systemic quality issues
Qualification
Required
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
7+ years of progressive Software Quality Assurance experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries
5+ years of hands-on test automation development experience using Selenium, JavaScript automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Jest), or similar
5+ years of strong API testing and automation experience
5+ years of backend testing experience using various database technologies
1+ years testing AI/ML or GenAI systems (LLMs, recommendation engines, NLP pipelines, or MLOps) — or demonstrated delivery of AI-adjacent quality frameworks (e.g., RAG evaluation, guardrails)
Experience owning QA responsibilities for complex product areas with minimal oversight
Proven experience mentoring QA engineers and influencing technical direction
5+ years in Agile SDLC environments with strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines
Strong programming or scripting experience (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) and build tools (Maven, Gradle, Ant)
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, automation strategies, and quality metrics
Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and decision-making abilities
Experience in Prompt design and prompt testing; negative testing for prompt injection/jailbreaks
RAG testing (embedding quality, retrieval accuracy/recall, chunk strategy validation)
Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search evaluation
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, Git Bash, or similar SCM tools
Experience with test management platforms (qTest, ALM, TestLink TestRail, etc.)
Knowledge of healthcare software, data privacy, and compliance best practices is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
