Principal or Sr. Principal Financial Analyst
Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense technology company, and they are seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Financial Analyst to join their Strategic C3 Systems Business Unit. The role involves managing program financials, preparing financial forecasts and reports, and supporting financial performance improvement strategies.

Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the preparation and coordination of the monthly financial forecasting and reporting processes
Preparing cash flow analysis, working capital, accounts receivable forecasting, unbilled analysis, invoice tracking, funding analysis, profitability, support monthly/quarterly financial reviews, risk analysis, funding analysis and ad-hoc reporting
Prepare and provide weekly/monthly analytical reports to support cost variance/trend analysis
Lead and support the development of the consolidated Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) as well as financial modeling and adhoc analysis
Work cross-functionally to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics
Support the development of presentations for, and brief to leadership at various levels
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements
Ability to use financial systems with understanding of DoD financial rhythms
Provide strategic guidance as required; develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity
Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques
Work under minimal supervision while completing various assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus
Provide training to other analysts
Lead, develop and implement efficiencies with focus on standardized template development for monthly forecasting and AOP/LRSP data collection and consolidation
Good interpersonal skills while representing the finance team on various projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Finance, Accounting, and/or Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of stated experience
Candidates will have experience with financial analysis of traditional financial metrics (Awards, Acquisitions, Sales, Operating Margin, ROS%, Cash)
Experience with SAP, IBM Cognos software, COBRA
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related discipline

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Expertise in financial analysis
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively drive projects to completion
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple activities concurrently, able to quickly adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid changes
Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail
Knowledge of EVMS/FAR/DFARS
