Responsibilities
Partner with Product Management and engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Contribute to integration strategies, including defining data flows, interfaces, and system interactions
Design, build, and enhance scalable integration frameworks and services using modern backend technologies
Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integration components with a focus on reliability and performance
Design systems that support multi-tenancy, scalability, and high availability
Apply best practices related to security, compliance, and operational excellence
Establish and promote engineering standards, patterns, and design principles
Provide technical leadership through design discussions, code reviews, and collaboration with other engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in related field
7+ years of SaaS software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Java-based SaaS platforms
Strong proficiency in designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures
Extensive experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with strong familiarity of modern middleware
Experience overseeing complex, scaled multi-tenant SaaS software projects from concept to delivery
Familiarity with modern integration toolsets, such as middleware and public cloud API services
Strong data architecture skills including database design, data modeling, and schema management with relational and non-relational databases
Mastery of key technologies of Java, SQL, and REST
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Agile/Scrum or other iterative methodology experience
Preferred
Adept at designing solutions in public, private, and hybrid infrastructure models
Knowledge of AI infrastructure, LLM APIs, and experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI agent frameworks
Experience with integration platforms (Zapier, Workato, Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.)
Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards
