Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute onboarding tasks, including pre-employment screenings, background checks, and paperwork completion
Maintain accurate and timely entry of new employee data into HR systems (e.g., JD Edwards, iCIMS)
Communicate with new hires to guide them through onboarding steps and resolve inquiries promptly
Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to confirm start dates and ensure readiness for Day One
Prepare and organize onboarding documentation and employee files in compliance with company SOPs
Support HR Director and HR team with administrative needs and department priorities
Coordinate department meetings, including scheduling, agenda prep, and follow‑up on action items
Manage and track HR department projects, ensuring progress updates, timelines, and completion of deliverables
Support HR projects related to onboarding improvements and employee experience initiatives
Uphold confidentiality and integrity of HR records at all times
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information professionally
Preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
HR certification
Experience in utility construction or similar industry
