Responsibilities

Managing, customizing, and automating Jira workflows to support our pilots and engineers. This includes structuring Jira projects, customizing new and existing Jira epics, Issues and sub-tasks, and Jira automation of tasks to increase production efficiency
Creating report automation using Jira to provide organizational awareness, trend analysis and continuous improvement
Project & Epic Management: Create, manage, optimize, and track projects, epics, and sub-tasks to ensure smooth, auditable delivery within multi-national teams
Automation & Customization: Design and implement robust Jira automation rules to eliminate manual processes, drive efficiency, and enforce consistent project workflows
Reporting & Metrics: Generate custom reports and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights into project progress, resource allocation, and team performance
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with pilots and engineers to understand their unique needs and configure Jira to maximize visibility, tracking, and productivity

Required

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. 6 years' of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
Experience in; Jira JQL, Python, MATLAB and VBA
Have ability to achieve Jira mastery (i.e. quick to interpret foreign syntax and workflows)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-national teams, including pilots, engineers, and leadership
Strong troubleshooting abilities, especially in identifying and resolving issues within Jira, SharePoint, and other common platforms
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret and SAP DoD Clearance

Preferred

Proven hands-on experience with Jira Software, specifically in managing complex projects, epics, and sub-tasks in a large-scale environment
Strong knowledge of Jira automation capabilities to create sophisticated rules, triggers, and actions that dramatically enhance project workflows
Demonstrated ability to configure Jira settings, workflows, permissions, and custom fields to meet diverse team and security requirements
Familiarity with Jira scripting languages such as Jira Query Language for advanced automation and customizations
