Responsibilities

Create engaging content for the City’s social media channels
Shoot and edit videos for internal and external use
Write magazine and newsletter articles
Assist with the planning and promotion of local events
Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure successful event execution
Proofread and edit marketing materials
Dive into various marketing and communication tasks as needed

Required

You're a full-time college student studying marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a related field
You have a good understanding of social media and digital marketing
You're comfortable with tech tools like Microsoft Office, Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva (bonus points for experience with digital photography, design and photo editing!)
You're detail-oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile!
A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are key
You're outgoing, an extrovert and not afraid to talk to people, take their photos or get them on video
