Payroll and Benefits Administrator
Modular Services Company is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to handle all payroll and benefits operations, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance. This role acts as a liaison between HR and Accounting to manage employee records and provide excellent support to employees.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll (wages, bonuses, deductions, taxes) using payroll software
Oversee enrollment, changes, and terminations for all employee insurance offerings. Reconcile monthly billings
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws (e.g. ACA reporting)
Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records, including leave of absence, time tracking, new hire documentation and employee review documents
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding benefits
Handle payroll and benefits orientation and setup for new hires and termination procedures
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, or a related field preferred
Proficiency in payroll software (preferably Paycom) and MS Office, particularly Excel
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxes, COBRA and FMLA/ACA rules
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
