Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional client service through professional communication, scheduling, and meeting coordination
Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
Draft and file litigation-related documents, motions, and pleadings
Maintain organized electronic client files and manage document workflows
Schedule court appearances, depositions, and client meetings; monitor deadlines and avoid conflicts
Prepare correspondence and legal memoranda in accordance with firm standards
Interact professionally with court personnel, attorneys, and staff
Manage attorney calendars and coordinate case preparation
Process mail, payments, and reimbursements
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong attention to detail

Required

2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Strong mastery of Outlook calendar management and litigation scheduling
Ability to format, edit, draft, retrieve, and organize legal documents
Typing speed of at least 65 WPM
Highly organized, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and professional judgment

Preferred

Experience supporting medical malpractice or defense litigation attorneys
Post‑secondary education or legal coursework
Knowledge of state and federal courts, including Colorado (and preferably New Mexico) e‑filing procedures
Familiarity with billing and document management software
