Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
Develop, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and performance tuning
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker across multiple environments
Develop and support cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high availability and reliability
Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end application solutions
Follow best practices for application security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards
Qualification
Required
Prior Capital One experience required
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance optimization
Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker
Solid experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
Strong understanding of backend system design, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
