Responsibilities
Develop automated tools and standardized processes for high-volume optical transceiver system level testing
Lead collaborative efforts with internal stakeholders and supplier partners to establish robust testing frameworks and quality assurance procedures for optical modules
Work with network operations team in identifying operation issues and improving quality and RMA process
Engage stakeholders to identify areas of improvements during rack deployment or bring-up
Work with network operations team to improve link error handling efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering or equivalent worked experience
8+ years of work experience on optical communication systems or components
8+ years of experience with optical transceivers and IEEE standards
4+ years of experience developing test scripts for optics validation and characterization
2+ years of experience working with optical and networking merchant silicon suppliers, manufacturing processes, and qualifications
1+ years of professional development experience with Python or a similar scripting language for automation scripting
Preferred
Master/PhD or foreign equivalent in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering or a related field
2+ years of experience in hardware and systems design, development, and troubleshooting
1+ year of experience in the application of network design, including knowledge of major protocols, topology design, network hardware, device configuration and traffic engineering
1+ year of experience in database and AWS services
1+ year of experience working with ODMs and component suppliers in delivering optical solutions
Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this roles
Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
