Responsibilities

Support the organizational structure and staffing of Accounts Receivable, Cashiers, and Student Disbursement, to effectively accomplish the department goals and objectives
Oversees recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff as it relates to the area of responsibility and/or other assigned areas
Maintain and manage records with relevant and accurate information
Collaborate with university departments and other providers to implement, maintain, and aid in the development of new and existing software, programs, and processes, to ensure security, efficiency, and promote a positive student experience
Assist students, faculty, staff, and community members, as it relates to the area of responsibility
Analyze and resolve issues related to financial records
Represent the department in multiple functions including but not limited to: various campus-wide committees, training seminars, conferences, and workshops
Consult and collaborate with various groups to further the mission of the university
Assists with development and management of annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience relevant to the position's duties; or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years
Knowledge of new technology, government regulations, and banking/commerce methods
Knowledge of management techniques and principles
Knowledge of monies control and security
Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing, payment application, refunds, invoicing, and related financial systems, with prior experience managing teams performing these functions
Skills with managing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments
Skills in organization, delegation, and strategic thinking
Skills in interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision making
Effective communication skills
Strong financial management skills
Solid supervision, and leadership skills

Demonstrated history of excellent customer service, including timely and effective support for internal financial requests and external inquiries and needs such as account management and transaction processing
Proven ability to supervise staff, including leading, coaching, training, and supporting team development
