Responsibilities
Execute complex accounting activities across multiple legal entities within the organization
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, analyses, and account reconciliations
Complete monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Support SOX compliance requirements and internal and external audit processes
Analyze loss programs and related financial transactions to ensure proper reporting
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, along with supporting schedules
Contribute to statutory (NAIC) reporting and internal management reporting
Support the implementation and ongoing application of IFRS 17
Partner closely with actuarial teams to align financial results and data reporting
Help develop scalable, efficient accounting and reporting processes
Provide guidance to junior team members and assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of progressive accounting experience within the insurance industry
Strong understanding of IFRS, statutory accounting (STAT), and U.S. GAAP
Experience working with financial reporting systems and large data sets
Intermediate Excel skills; experience with SQL or data querying tools is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
Preferred
Exposure to IFRS 17 strongly preferred
CPA and/or Master's degree preferred
