Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
Prepare, review, and interpret financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Manage regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate audits with external auditors
Supervise the preparation of financial statement reports and provide insights through detailed analysis
Maintain accurate journal entries using various accounting software
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
Monitor cash flow, perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Ensure adherence to internal controls and support compliance with securities law, estate law, or other legal frameworks as needed
Mentor and develop accounting staff by providing training on technical accounting issues such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and complex financial concepts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management initiatives including payroll processing, tax compliance, and internal audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in Accounting
Proficiency with advanced accounting software such as Sage
Understanding of Accounting Principles and Standards
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented work like account reconciliation, journal entries, and audit support
Strong communication skills for effective financial report writing and interpretation
