Responsibilities

Maintain, monitor, and repair HVAC and building systems to keep the facility operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all codes and company standards
Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heating and cooling systems
Review HVAC inspections to ensure equipment operates within design specifications
Lead preventive maintenance efforts to extend system life and improve energy performance
Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, fire/life safety, and control systems while keeping the workplace clean and safe
Perform emergency repairs, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure all systems meet regulatory and safety requirements
Plan and complete work orders, estimate labor and materials, and maintain essential inventory
Inspect and oversee contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to standards
Review building system inspections—such as fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and controls—to verify proper operation and environmental performance
Apply strong technical expertise to solve complex problems, share knowledge across multiple building disciplines, and coach others as needed
Communicate effectively, especially when explaining sensitive or difficult information, and build consensus across teams

Required

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Universal CFC certification is required
Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations

Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred
