This role involves overseeing all financial operations and serving as a strategic advisor to ensure fiscal integrity and proactive financial planning.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations of the City, including governmental functions and complex municipal utility systems
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, ensuring fiscal integrity, strong internal controls, and proactive financial planning

Qualification

Required

Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal, county, or state financial management
At least two years in a senior leadership or executive role such as CFO, Finance Director, Budget Director, or Assistant Finance Director
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration from an accredited institution
Expertise in GAAP, GASB standards, GFOA best practices, budgeting, forecasting, debt management, and financial reporting
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with municipal enterprise utilities
Master's degree
Professional certifications such as CPA, CPFO, CGFO, or similar credentials
Private sector experience
