Novia Infotech is a European company seeking a Senior UX/UI Prototyper for a project-based role in the medical device industry. The main responsibility is to create a high-fidelity Figma prototype for a medical device that adheres to specific design and medical safety standards.
Responsibilities
Create a FIGMA prototype with the "materials" of Windows Surface in mind
Design in FIGMA exclusively using Microsoft’s Fluent 2 (WinUI 3) design language
Apply IEC 62366 usability principles
Build interactive Figma prototypes (using Variables and Conditional Logic) that simulate real device behavior for user testing and stakeholder sign-off
Revise the prototype through two rounds of human factors surveys based on structured feedback from users
Structure the Figma file with clear annotations on behavior, states (hover, pressed, disabled), and edge cases
Qualification
Required
Visual design expertise in Figma in the medical device industry
Portfolio to review any candidate
Create a FIGMA prototype with the materials of Windows Surface in mind
Use the Microsoft Fluent Design System
Design strictly within the constraints of the Windows App SDK and Medical Safety Standards
Design in FIGMA exclusively using Microsoft's Fluent 2 (WinUI 3) design language
Understand how Windows handles touch, pen, and mouse inputs differently than the web or iOS
Apply IEC 62366 usability principles
Ensure specific requirements for contrast, font legibility, touch-target size (minimum 40x40px for gloved hands), and error prevention
Build interactive Figma prototypes using Variables and Conditional Logic
Revise the prototype through two rounds of human factors surveys based on structured feedback from users
Structure the Figma file with clear annotations on behavior, states (hover, pressed, disabled), and edge cases
Use NavigationView (side rail) or Pivot controls standard to Windows apps
Design for hybrid input: Fingers (touch), Stylus (Surface Pen), and Mouse/Trackpad
Use Windows ContentDialogs or Flyouts
Use color specifically for Safety Alerts (ISO standards)
Design high-contrast dark modes for dim radiology or patient rooms to reduce eye strain
