Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to secure sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and fundraising deals, targeting a 20-30% annual revenue increase
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals, conducting regular performance reviews, training sessions, and motivational initiatives to ensure quota attainment
Build and nurture long-term relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community stakeholders in the sports sector, leveraging data-driven insights for personalized outreach
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine fundraising campaigns, optimizing for sports events and youth programs
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and executive teams to align sales efforts with company goals, including co-developing pitch materials and event strategies
Manage travel logistics for key client meetings, trade shows, and regional sports events while maintaining in-office presence for team huddles and planning
Track sales metrics using CRM tools, generate reports, and forecast revenue to support informed decision-making

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CFRE) preferred
7+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams in fundraising, sponsorship sales, or nonprofit sectors
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in sports, events, or community-driven industries
Strong proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools; experience with event management platforms a plus
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Willingness to travel 30-40% domestically, with reliable transportation and flexibility for evenings/weekends during peak sports seasons
Passion for youth sports and community fundraising; ability to work in-office 3-4 days per week in Orange County, CA

Preferred
