Responsibilities
Contribute to the solution design and implementation of secure, scalable, and automated cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure to support application deployment and management across multiple platforms
Design, build, test, and maintain custom full stack applications, with the majority of time spent hands-on coding within agile product teams
Develop and support a robust “digital front door” capable of handling increased traffic from a growing number of Behavioral Health providers interacting with platforms and services
Build and enhance web portals and backend services used by providers, brokers, and members, with consideration for both web and mobile experiences
Develop APIs and reusable platform components that enable multiple product teams to build and scale digital products efficiently
Build net-new functionality from scratch, rather than modifying off-the-shelf or ERP-based systems
Support migrations of applications and services to the Azure cloud, developing software for the cloud and directly in the cloud
Provide technical leadership by contributing to best practices and mentoring engineers in service- and cloud-based design and development
Work independently in a highly heads-down engineering environment, while proactively asking for help and collaborating with teammates as needed
Communicate technical approach, value, risks, alternatives, and progress with product teams, business stakeholders, and leadership
Apply knowledge of IT and healthcare industry trends to inform solution design and execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of IT solution delivery experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong technical acumen with deep working knowledge of Agile methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise cloud integration
Full stack development experience supporting customer-facing web platforms, with a strong Java-based backend and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular)
Experience developing applications using modern Java-based technologies and standards
Experience building and maintaining APIs and services that are consumed by multiple applications or teams
Hands-on experience developing custom business solutions and applications using API-based integrations
Ansible or other automation tools
SQL Server 2016+
Windows/Linux OS administration exposure
Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines
Cloud-native application design, primarily on Microsoft Azure
Experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to mentor and support other developers
Demonstrated ability to formulate strategies and build alignment from ideation through execution
Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Ability to assess risks and issues and make recommendations to resolve or course-correct as needed
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create and translate technical deliverables
Proven experience educating and influencing others within a highly matrixed organization
Preferred
Azure cloud administration, configuration, development, and architecture
Java development expertise
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Integration with SharePoint
Experience with Git (Bitbucket), Jira, Jenkins, Service Marketplace, Tidal, Informatica, Unix, and other scripting tools
Mulesoft or BOOMI integrations
JavaScript or PowerShell
Experience working within a product platform model, building reusable components and shared services
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar
Healthcare experience in Utilization and Care Management (e.g., Facets, FHIR) is nice to have
Experience collaborating with external vendors and distributed onshore/offshore teams
