Responsibilities
Perform detailed mechanical engineering design for building systems
Prepare technical calculations, specifications, and design schedules
Plan, manage, and coordinate CAD and BIM documentation throughout project lifecycles
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, architectural, structural, and civil partners
Monitor and coordinate the work of technicians and junior staff as appropriate
Participate in project and design coordination meetings alongside senior team members
Ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
Communicate key design decisions and progress updates to senior leadership
Mentor and support graduate-level engineers and early-career team members
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of experience in mechanical engineering within an MEP consulting environment
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong understanding of building systems design across multiple project types
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; experience with IES and Hevacomp preferred
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and macros
Solid working knowledge of electrical systems and their interaction with mechanical design
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based structure
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
