Responsibilities
Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, reducing their day-to-day involvement in finance
Own investor-grade financial leadership and board engagement
Lead exit readiness across finance and value-creation initiatives
Prepare and help position the business for a PE-backed exit
Lead and support M&A execution and integration
Strengthen forecasting, cash flow management, and KPI discipline
Translate SaaS / VMS metrics into a compelling equity and exit narrative
Support commercial initiatives (pricing, GTM efficiency) with robust financial insight
Lead and develop the existing finance team (VP Finance / FP&A)
Qualification
Required
CFO or CFO-level experience in PE-backed software or VMS-led businesses
Exposure to at least one private equity cycle; exit experience strongly preferred
Strong strategic finance and capital markets orientation (banking + operating experience attractive)
Comfortable marketing a business in an exit process
Commercially minded with a strong grasp of recurring-revenue value drivers
Confident operating across the table from sophisticated investors
Calm, credible presence that complements a thoughtful, steady CEO
