Responsibilities
Lead accounting for multiple entities, managing close cycles and consolidated reporting
Maintain and enhance internal systems, reporting structures, and chart of accounts
Oversee AP, AR, GL, job costing, payroll review, and bank reconciliations
Manage intercompany eliminations and prepare accurate financial statements
Coordinate tax filings, audits, and reviews with external CPA partners
Improve and enforce internal controls and financial procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
Provide financial insights for executive decisions and vendor negotiations
Mentor accounting staff and interface with banks and insurers
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required
7–12 years of progressive experience, with 3+ years in a Controller/Accounting Manager role
Proven success managing multi-entity financials and consolidations
Experience with custom/internal ERP systems (not QuickBooks)
Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
Preferred
CPA or MBA preferred
Industry experience in construction, service, distribution, or manufacturing preferred
