Responsibilities
Provide training and support to end users on equipment operation and other issues
Troubleshoot end user and network hardware peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, and other products
Install, configure, test, maintain, and monitor computer hardware
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems and recommend and implement corrective solutions
Identify and deliver required hardware service levels according to company policies
Receive and respond to incoming tickets, emails, and calls regarding hardware problems
Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal
Help maintain an inventory of peripheral and networking equipment
Research and recommend PC and printer equipment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations
Qualification
Required
1-3 years' experience installing, configuring, diagnosing, and testing computer hardware
IT Certifications helpful
A technical knowledge of corporate networks and hardware
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
Ability to conduct research into hardware products and issues as required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong customer-service orientation
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Self-motivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
