Responsibilities
Provide professional counsel and legal advice to the Department with specialized legal services relating to determinations under Wis. Stat. 165.76 (1) (f) and 304.137 (2)
Comply with all applicable law and the Supreme Court Rules (SCR) of Professional Conduct for Attorneys in the provision of legal services to the Department
Qualification
Required
License or eligibility for license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin at the time of hire
Knowledge of federal and state laws including statutes and code
Ability to analyze complex situations and effectively recommend solutions
Ability to organize, manage, and plan work assignments
Ability to effectively work with others in order to accomplish objectives
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective skills in legal research
Knowledge of legislative process
