The role involves translating buyer strategies into store-specific plan-o-grams and collaborating with various teams to meet sales and productivity goals.

Responsibilities
Learns to analyze / implement category management processes and activities
Learns space planning plan-o-gram (POG) software
Learns to use category knowledge base (CKB) reports
Learns to read AutoCAD, Revit, and floor planning documentation
Creates / captures plan-o-grams for store operation execution based on BDM strategy
Imports / exports space planning POG and financial metrics to help analyze business decisions
Applies basic understanding of category financial analysis to create / capture plan-o-grams for store operation execution based on BDM strategy
Applies basic understanding of H-E-B assortment tools; uses data to collaborate with BDM to create POGs
Accurately captures product attributes (e.g., product dimensions, description, size, unit of measure, presentation, capacity, item status)
Monitors / corrects daily POG exception reports
Manages primary section assignments by Store, for assigned categories
Validates all fixtures in POGs
Collaborates with BDM to create POGs based on 5-year plan for all Shelf Edge activities
Creates communication documents for Store merchandising execution; resolves POG issues
Offers merchandising suggestions and recommendations to BDMs / Buyers
Adheres to Shelf Edge activity timelines for assigned categories, including task prioritization
Qualification
Required
some experience in retail, merchandising, consumer packaged goods, or familiarity with plan-o-grams
A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
Intermediate written / verbal communication and presentation skills
Intermediate PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) and Zoom
Analytical and project management skills
Organization and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail
Ability to work in a highly cross-functional / team environment
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Ability to work with general supervision
Ability to work in a virtual / remote location
Ability to stay highly resilient
Function in a fast-paced, retail, office, and remote environment
Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
Work extended hours; sit / stand for extended periods
Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
