New Grad, Entry LevelGate Petroleum Company is seeking a Property Maintenance Worker responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of company property and facilities. The role includes groundskeeping, routine maintenance, and support with special projects, requiring flexibility and initiative.

Responsibilities
Arrive to work on time, consistently
Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair. Ensure team is in proper uniform as well
Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval
Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings
Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment
Responsible for maintaining lawn mowing and trimming on the property
Responsible for doing pre-trip maintenance of equipment, such as lawn mower, weed trimmer and others
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Sweep and clean work areas
Patrol property for loose garbage/ paper on grounds
Observe all needed inventory and inform supervisor to order
Maintenance of anything in the building which is requested by the Shop Supervisor
Perform any additional tasks requested or assigned by Shop Supervisor
Qualification
Required
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
High School diploma or continued studies
Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and dependable transportation
Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Activities: Sitting 10% Walking/Standing 50% Bending/Stretching/Reaching 40%
Lifting: Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs
Pushing/Turning/Kneeling/Twisting/Climbing
Vision: As required by DOT

All tasks demand agility, the ability to maintain a crouching position to inspect and work on the underside of the equipment, the ability to climb ladders on the tanks and inside building for painting or changing light bulbs
Knowing how to use electric and air tools safely and correctly
Able to operate zero-turn mower safely and required use of ear and eye protection
Knowledge of correct and safe usage of electric and air tools
Be self-motivated but work within the team
Effective communication skills – handwritten and verbal
Able to be given a task and complete in a timely manner
Work safely around warehouse personnel and other equipment
