Internship – Procurement
Delta Dental of Michigan is one of the largest dental plan administrators in the country, focused on improving oral health through benefit plans and community support. The Procurement Intern will assist in procurement and vendor management activities, supporting buyers and managing contracts.

Responsibilities
Assist Buyers with the procurement of materials, services and software beginning with the intent to purchase through delivery to end-users in accordance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures
Submit bid opportunities, analyze quotations received, negotiate preferred pricing and contractual terms, select or recommend suppliers, and schedule deliveries
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of products, services, software or components
Monitor system for incoming invoices and help reconcile them with internal business partners and vendors
Assist in the contract renewal process of IT software licensing, maintenance and services by notifying internal business customers of upcoming renewals, requesting quotes from vendors and administering the purchasing process
Develop contract, corporate spending and supplier evaluation reports as necessary
Perform other related assigned duties and projects as deemed necessary by management
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
Proficient in MS Excel and other Office programs
Detail oriented
Enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges
