Responsibilities
Provide back up to Billing Manager
Conducts training and orientation for new hires to billing department
Assists with onboarding of new clients
Helps resolve billing issues that arise in department
May be called upon to assist with billing functions of the billing department:
Provide back up for billing specialist when out on leave
Analyze accounts receivable reports to ensure timely collections
Maintain payer portal access for department staff
Helps set up of new software and maintain software modules
Insurance set ups
DDE access
Software access
Update yearly case mix rates, fee schedules and Payer rates as needed
Billing Department contact for Credit Balance Reports
Finalize the month-end close process and provide the reporting by the deadline
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
