Responsibilities

Define & drive sourcing strategy: Establish and execute category sourcing strategies, manage budgets, and use insights and creativity to strengthen the customer experience
Build strong partnerships: Leverage your leadership and influencing skills to collaborate externally with suppliers and internally with merchants, Product Development, and cross-functional business partners
Influence business decisions: Partner with Merchants and Merchandise Operations to shape decisions across replenishment, supply chain, manufacturing, store operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, modular planning, and pricing
Create & launch innovative products at EDLC: Work hand-in-hand with Product Development to design, test, and launch new items for Walmart’s Private Brands at incredible costing
Become the category expert: Know your suppliers, customers, and product landscape better than anyone—and work to anticipate what’s next

Required

Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of experience in business, sourcing, supply chain, merchandising or related field
Must have experience with: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
Must have experience with: Project management and planning
Must have experience with: Communicating effectively with both peers and leadership
Must have experience with: Analytical skills
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Experience in merchandising or retail
Experience in negotiating
Experience with the commodity industries
Experience sourcing ingredients and packaging material
Experience in manufacturing or processing industry
Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, supply chain, or related area
Experience in retail, manufacturing, sourcing, or related area
